$1M Lottery Win: Brockton Man Turns Keno Winnings Into Massive Jackpot
A Brockton man said he used some of his winnings from Keno to purchase a lottery ticket and walked away with $1 million. Ronald DiRamio had won $1,800 when he chose to buy a $30 scratch-off ticket for the “15,000,000 Money Maker” game. It hit big. DiRamio chose to take the lump sum of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity. He plans to use the money to help out his children and grandchildren. An 18-year-old employee at an Ocean State Job Lot in Brockton turned himself in after shooting a customer who allegedly threatened him with a knife, police said. Khamani K Anderson is accused of shooting Brandon C Theodat, 26, around noon on Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Campanelli Industrial Drive, Brockton police said. Update: A 51-year-old Brockton woman who was injured when the car she was riding in crashed with a school bus in Boston Tuesday morning, Oct. 24, has been taken to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment, authorities said. The woman was riding with a 65-year-old Taunton woman, who was driving a Toyota Camry that crashed into the bus full of students, reports said.
