Aston firefighters responded to the accident on the 800 block of Lamp Post Lane where one of the vehicles had overturned, firefighters said in a social media post. The nature of the injuries were unclear. Firefighters on the return trip knocked down a brush fire on the 100 block of Maple Avenue, which was contained to a small area of a rear home. On Friday, May 14, a fire was first reported in Williamstown near Henderson Road, prompting a response from area departments as it quickly spread from approximately 180 acres of land to upwards 300 acres as of Sunday, May 16. According to reports, the quickly spreading fire prompted officials to send out warnings to some area residents cautioning that the fire is approaching homes in the vicinity of the blaze.

Firefighters arrived at the Delaware canal lagoon park on reports of an explosion and fire early Wednesday morning, according to the Bristol Consolidated Fire Company. Fire crews found brush and trees burning along the railroad embankment, authorities said. Due to the lack of space for large fire trucks, crews requested two brush trucks and an additional water line, authorities said. Woman Suspected Of Starting Beach, Brush Fire Is Arrested Police grabbed a suspect connected to one of 2020’s Milford brush fires. On Sunday, Dec. 13, Milford Police arrested a Stratford woman on an active warrant. Colleen Gallagher, 49, of Stratford, was taken into police custody around 9:20 p.m. Sunday. Gallagher allegedly set the brush fire at Walnut Beach in January this year, police said. Gallagher has been charged with reckless burning, criminal mischief in the third degree, and breach of peace in the second degree, police said. A court date has been scheduled for Gallagher, Jan. 18, 2021.
