Authorities ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed In South Jersey
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Haddon Township, authorities said.
Maria Rios-Reyes, 65, of Haddon Township, was fatally hit on Feb. 11 near East Holly Avenue, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Rios-Reyes founded a local cleaning company, Crystal Cleaning Services, according to an obituary published by Popiolek Funeral Home.
“Above all, Cristina will always be remembered for her strong faith and her love of family,” the obit said.
She is survived by two children, two grandchildren and numerous siblings.

Camden Man Charged In Fatal Shooting: Prosecutor
A 39-year-old man from Camden has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a man in November 2023 that resulted in his death last month, authorities said.
Marcus Davenport was charged on Monday, Jan. 22 with first-degree murder in the death of Anthony Young, 38, of Camden, they said.
Davenport was also charged with weapons offenses, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

Pennsylvania Man Convicted Of Groping South Jersey Woman Gets Probation: Prosecutor
A 59-year-old man from Delaware County, Pennsylvania who posed as a termite inspector to enter a Camden County victim's home was sentenced to probation, authorities said.
Edward Knox, of Aston, PA, owner of Hard Knox Waterproofing out of Upper Chichester, PA, was convicted of criminal sexual contact on Nov. 1, 2023, after a jury trial, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
On Friday, Jan. 12, Knox was sentenced to three years probation, the prosecutor said.
The charge arose out of an incident in Somerdale, NJ, on Jan. 7, 2019, the prosecutor said.

South Jersey Fugitive Arrested By US Marshals In Fatal Shooting: Prosecutor
U.S. Marshals have arrested a 21-year-old fugitive from Camden in connection with a fatal shooting, authorities said.
Isaac Santiago was charged with first-degree murder in the Dec. 27, 2023, death of Esterlin Torres, 35, of Pennsauken, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
He also was charged with weapons offenses.
