Person Shot in Bridgeton, Airlifted To Hospital: Police
A 35-year-old man was shot in Bridgeton on Saturday, April 5, authorities said.
After midnight, officers responded to the Ivy Square complex off of Cottage Avenue and found the man siting in a chair, being tended to by others, after sustaining a gunshot wound to the torso, Bridgeton police said.
First responders rendered aid to the man before he was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he has since been released, police said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing, police said.

At 10:54 p.m., Camden County police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at the 600 block of Elm Street and found Francisco Benavides, a 21-year-old Pennsauken resident, with gunshot wounds, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez said.
Benavides was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead soon after, authorities said.
