The identity of a Connecticut man who was killed in a fatal crash and car fire in the Hudson Valley has been released by authorities. New Haven County resident Jaydir Ramos Jacobo of Prospect, age 40, was killed on Thursday, Jan. 11 in a Putnam County crash on Danbury Road (Route 6) in Brewster near Dingle Ridge Road, according to New York State Police. A 19-year-old girl died Tuesday, Jan. 2, when her car burst into flames after she crashed into a northbound median on I-495 in Middlesex County, authorities said. A raging blaze involving two cars sent firefighters on an early morning trip to a school in Northern Westchester. The fire happened on Sunday, July 9 around 1:30 a.m., when members of the Valhalla Fire Department were sent to the EF Academy in Thornwood, where a vehicle had gone up in flames in the parking lot.
