Thousands of residents in the area remain without power after a Nor’easter rocked the region, bringing whipping winds, rain and downing trees and power lines in the area.
As of 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2,774 of Central Hudson’s 119,730 customers in Dutchess and 1,487 of its 5,195 customers in Putnam remained without power, with no estimated restoration time provided.

Nearly all customers should have power back as of noon Wednesday, July 3 after an army of tree trimmers and repair crews descended on the island following a series of weekend storms that left more than 95,000 homes and businesses without power.

With winds whipping between 20 and 30 mph and gusts approaching 65 mph in the area, thousands remain without power as utility crews scramble to restore service to the region.
As of around 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon, Feb. 25, Orange & Rockland had 1,120 customers in Orange County and 578 customers in Rockland without power, led by Warwick (648); Nyack (253); Florida (247); Clarkstown (137) and Tuxedo Park (130).

Thousands of area residents are without power as wild winds continue whipping through the area.
On Monday morning, Feb. 25, 6,210 of Central Hudson’s Dutchess and Orange County residents are reporting outages, including 1,662 in Dutchess, 1,932 in Orange County and 72 in Putnam. Of Orange & Rockland Utility Company customers, 76 from Orange County and 457 from Rockland were reporting outages.
