A 6-year-old boy critically injured when a minivan plowed into Harrisburg’s Kipona Festival crowd has opened his eyes after several days in a coma, his family said Tuesday night, Sept. 9.
The child, identified as Faiz Sharif, was one of three victims struck when Elizabeth Ann Bohrer, 36, of York Haven, allegedly barreled through barricades and into festivalgoers on North Front Street on Monday, Sept. 1, according to police and court documents.

Matthew Wolfe, 40, of Whitehall, pleaded no contest to Third-Degree Murder and Endangering the Welfare of a Child before Judge James Anthony, resulting in a sentence of 4½ to 9 years in prison followed by two years of probation, according to the DA.
