Fake-Name Fugitive Busted With Loaded Gun After Assault In Lexington Park, Sheriff Says
A Southern Maryland man is facing nearly a dozen criminal charges after deputies say he assaulted someone, lied about his name, and tried to hide a loaded gun.
The suspect was later identified as Tyree Dirreck Shields, 33, of Lexington Park, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, deputies responded to the 46000 block of Wineberry Lane in Lexington Park for a reported assault.
The victim told deputies a verbal argument escalated into a physical attack before Shields ran from the home, before being quickly located.

4-Year-Old Found Dad Dead From Fentanyl Sold By Brentwood Duo, DA Says
Two men were indicted in connection with the fentanyl overdose death of a Brentwood father whose 4-year-old daughter discovered his body.
Steven Pesantez, 29, of Brentwood, and Isaiah Skees, 27, of Bay Shore, were charged with multiple drug-related felonies in Suffolk County Court Thursday, Aug. 28, following a months-long investigation.
The case stems from the Feb. 12 death of a man in Brentwood who died of fentanyl intoxication, prosecutors said. His young daughter was the one to find him.
Pesantez allegedly sold the fentanyl that led to the fatal overdose, according to investigators.
