6 Teens Nabbed For Burglary, Trespass Of Vacant Long Island Building: Police
A group of teenagers have been arrested in connection with multiple criminal incidents at a vacant Long Island building, authorities announced.
According to the Suffolk County Police, six people, all teenagers, were arrested on Thursday, July 13 in connection to a series of May 2023 Oakdale incidents.
The first incident occurred between May 25 and May 29, police said, when a group of males broke into the now-abandoned site of Dowling College, located at 150 Idle Hour Boulevard.
There, the group painted graffiti on the walls.

A homeowner in the region got quite the surprise when they discovered a stranger bathing herself in their home.
The incident happened just before 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 16 in Rensselaer County, at a home in Brunswick.
New York State Police were contacted by the homeowner, who told troopers that a woman had entered their home without permission and used the shower.

Besart Astafa, aged 28, from Deer Park, was arrested on Tuesday, June 13 for removing all his clothing in a Farmingdale mosque, according to Nassau County Police.
The incident came just hours after Astafa was released without bail for a similar crime at the same mosque.

A Long Island man who was arrested for stealing a landscaping truck, crashing it, and fleeing the scene had been arrested multiple times prior, including for robbery, police announced.
Albert Garfield, aged 57, of Island Park, was arrested on Sunday, May 14, and will face multiple charges, including grand larceny, according to Nassau County police.
