Man Violates Order To Stay Away From His Mother In Rockland, Police Say
For the third time this month, a mother-and-son dispute required police intervention in Rockland County after the latter violated a court order. Investigators from the Ramapo Police Department received a call from a Sloatsburg resident at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, stating that her son had returned to her house in violation of a “stay away order of protection” and was sleeping on her couch. Newly sworn-in Mount Vernon Police Commissioner Shawn Harris will have his day in court, it's just been postponed. Harris, who was reappointed by acting Mayor Andrew Wallace on this week, was arrested during his first day on the job while attempting to enter police headquarters and he was reportedly charged with criminal trespassing. Have you seen him? The Ramapo Police Department has issued an alert regarding a wanted 64-year-old man who was arrested for criminal trespassing. According to police, Paul Taublieb is wanted for criminal trespassing stemming back to an incident in Chestnut Ridge last year. School’s out for summer, but that didn’t stop a 21-year-old from trespassing at a Greenwich middle school, police said. Several units from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to the Western Junior Middle School at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, when multiple alarms were activated inside the building. A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a home by shattering a window while the Rockland County homeowner was asleep.
