A 19-year-old Somerset resident on a dirt bike was killed in a crash in New Brunswick, authorities said.
At 7:29 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, officers responded to Jersey Avenue and Jules Lane after vehicle struck a dirt bike, New Brunswick police said. The collision resulted in both the vehicle and the dirt bike being engulfed in flames, police said.
Both the driver of the vehicle and Jayvi Rodriguez, the operator of the dirt bike, were taken to an area hospital where Rodriguez was pronounced dead, police said.
