A dump truck overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike Thursday afternoon, July 27, according to 511nj.org. The truck overturned on the inner and outer roadways on the Turnpike northbound near Interchange13A, the exit near Newark Liberty International Airport and Elizabeth at about 1:30 p.m., 511nj.org said. A motorcyclist was airlifted to a nearby hospital after colliding with a dump truck in Hunterdon County Thursday morning, July 20, state police said. A dump truck overturned closing all southbound lanes of Interstate 287 in Central Jersey in a multiple-vehicle crash, authorities said. The crash occurred at 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at milepost 1 in Metuchen, according to Sgt. Philip Curry, a spokesman for the the New Jersey State Police. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash including a dump truck that overturned and spilled dirt across the roadway, Curry said. No serious injuries were reported and I-287 was re-opened approximately 2.5 hours after the crash occurred, he said.
