Spotswood Firefighter, 22, Dies In East Brunswick Motorcycle Crash: Officials
A 22-year-old firefighter was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening, May 17 in Central Jersey, his department confirmed.
East Brunswick police said only that Robert J. Oross, also known as RJ, was involved in a crash with another vehicle at Summerhill Road and Racetrack Road at around 5:16 p.m.
Oross, of Spotswood, was critically injured and pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt and remained at the scene, according to the release.

At 5:27 p.m., officers came upon the conclusion of a road rage incident involving numerous people with weapons, South River police said, and a subsequent search warrant of the vehicle yielded a loaded high-capacity magazine.

Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Route 18: East Brunswick PD
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Route 18 in East Brunswick on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 19, authorities said.
At 11:57 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Highway 18 northbound and South Woodland Drive for the report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle, East Brunswick police said. The pedestrian, whose identity is currently unconfirmed, was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene of the crash, police said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
