Service dates have been set to honor the life of Putnam County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville, who died last week at the age of 68.
McConville died peacefully at home on Friday, Aug. 22, with his family by his side, as Daily Voice previously reported.
According to his obituary, friends and family will gather on Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Clinton Funeral Home, located at 21 Parrott St. in Cold Spring. A Cogan Station kindergarten teacher has won a national classroom contest for the second year in a row, bringing major prizes to her students and school, officials announced.
Michelle Boyles of Hepburn-Lycoming Primary School was once again named one of 10 winners in Simple Modern’s "Stock Your School" giveaway, the company said.

Megan Corcoran, a Hawthorne native, died on Thursday, Aug. 14, according to her obituary on the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home website. She was 24 years old.
