Four teenagers, including two juveniles, have been arrested for a shooting that occurred in Linden, Linden police announced Tuesday, Sept. 23.
Linden police, along with the Union County SWAT team and other police departments, executed search warrants throughout Elizabeth, apprehending Amare Bakersville, 19 and two 16-year-olds for a shooting that occurred in April, law enforcement said.
On Friday, April 25, officers responded to Woodlawn Avenue after two groups exchanged gunfire following a dispute, police said. Several vehicles were damaged, though no injuries were reported, police said.

Officers responded to Springfield Avenue and South 15th Street after Darryl Armstrong told detectives that three men wearing all black clothes exited a black four-door vehicle, pointed a weapon at him, threw him to the ground, and took his cellphone, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr said.

A pit bull was fatally shot after biting a police officer in Elizabeth on Monday, Aug. 18, authorities said.
At 11:40 a.m., emergency services units were at the 1000 block of Olive Street in search of a robbery suspect, a spokesperson for the City of Elizabeth said. An officer went to the backyard of a residence in case the suspect appeared, authorities said.

Jeffrey Reyes, a 29-year-old Elizabeth man was stopped at 12:40 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 12:40 a.m. on the 400 block of N. Wood Avenue after an officer observed him talking on his cell phone without a hands-free device, Linden police said.
