A Westchester County man has been charged months after a deadly crash on the New York State Thruway that claimed the life of a Rockland County father, police announced.
William Peralta, 25, of Elmsford, was arrested on Wednesday, March 11, in connection with the Aug. 11, 2025, crash in Clarkstown that killed Steven Redner, 47, of Tallman, New York State Police said on Thursday, April 2.
As previously reported by Daily Voice at the time, the crash happened around 12:40 a.m. on the northbound Thruway just north of Exit 12.

A Massachusetts man is accused of beating his 90-year-old grandmother to death inside the home they shared, authorities said.
Devin Dube, 29, of Hudson, was charged with the brutal death of his grandmother, Elaine Dube, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Hudson Police Chief Richard DiPersio.

Grey Dimenna, the former president of Monmouth University, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Thursday, March 26, the university confirmed.
At 3:44 p.m., Grey Dimenna was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on County Road 519 in Hunterdon County when he collided with a Dodge pickup truck, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
Dimenna was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, Lebron said. The driver of the Dodge sustained minor injuries, Lebron said.
