A community is rallying after a 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, according to the Springettsbury Township Police. Ziare Jackson, a York native, was riding a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle when it struck the rear of a 2007 Ford Focus driven by a 46-year-old man also from York, police detailed in a release. Stamford Man Killed At Work After Heavy Machinery Crashes Into Him
Police in Fairfield County and federal authorities are investigating the death of a 64-year-old worker at a business Wednesday morning, Oct. 30, after a piece of heavy machinery hit him, authorities said. The Stamford victim, who police did not name, was assisting a customer at the business around 8:15 a.m. when a 28-year-old Stamford front-end loader driver slammed into him, authorities said. Police in Prince George's County are probing a fatal shooting that happened following a reported crash in Morningside early on Saturday morning. Suitland resident Joseph Holtz, 38, has been identified by investigators as the person killed in a weekend shooting following a two-vehicle crash. Shortly before 1 a.m. on Oct. 26, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were called to the area of Suitland Road and Randolph Road to investigate a reported shooting. Man Killed In Fiery Overnight Newark Crash
A man was killed in a fiery crash early Sunday, Oct. 27 in Newark, police said. The male driver was found inside a vehicle that caught fire after crashing into a tree and colliding through a nearby residential gate at Weequahic Avenue near Bergen Street around 3:30 a.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Firefighters extinguished the fire and the man was pronounced dead. No other injuries have been reported. No further information is available.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle along Route 21 in Passaic on Tuesday, Oct. 22, authorities said. The unidentified male was struck by an Acura sedan while trying to cross the roadway in the northbound lanes around 8:05 p.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. A man was hit and killed by a Jeep as he crossed a busy roadway in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, on Violet Avenue in Hyde Park. Motorcyclist Killed By Falling Tree On Route 46
A 32-year-old Hackettstown motorcyclist was killed after he was struck by a falling tree on Route 46 on Sunday, Oct. 6, authorities said. At 3:58 p.m., Travis Worrell was traveling westbound on a Honda motorcycle in White Township when a tree fell into the roadway and struck him, causing the motorcycle to overturn, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Worrell was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
