Eight New York members of organized crime families, including six from Long Island, are among nine men who have been charged by federal authorities with racketeering and related offenses.

Federal prosecutors in Maryland have secured a guilty plea from an Anne Arundel County man with a fitting last name who admitted to possessing and sharing more than 1,000 images depicting child porn as part of a salacious online group, according to the Department of Justice.
Pasadena resident Raymond Martin Shamer III, 21, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of child pornography, admitting in the process that he also distributed child porn to others.

Four Face Federal Indictment In Maryland For $3M Covid-19 Fraud Scheme
Four Maryland residents are facing federal indictment for a CARES Act COVID-19 unemployment fraud scheme that saw over $3 million in losses, officials say.
Three of the suspects had an initial court appearance in Baltimore on Thursday, July 21, while the fourth was scheduled to appear on Friday, July 22 in Florida.
