The two-alarm blaze that killed Ahmed Abidar broke out just before 5:34 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at a multi-family home on Jay Avenue, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Firefighters Battle Blaze At Norwalk Garage Repair Shop Firefighters in Fairfield County were able to quickly douse the flames at a garage repair shop on Friday afternoon, Nov. 1.  Norwalk firefighters were called to 13 North Taylor Street just before 1:30 p.m. A garage converted into a repair shop near a row of storage units had caught on fire.  Crews were able to put out the blaze before it spread or anyone was injured, the fire department said.  Authorities are investigating what sparked the blaze.
