A 22-year-old Connecticut man killed in a car crash earlier this week was remembered as a talented athlete with a bright future, his family said. After the death of a Berks County mom in an apartment fire, the community has rallied to help her grieving family. Amy Valentine couldn't escape from her burning apartment building in the 3400 block of Kutztown Road in Muhlenberg Township on Friday, Nov. 1, a GoFundMe campaign started by Valentine's daughter, Lexi Shuey, states. A fifth person has been arrested in the violent home invasion that killed a Cumberland County detective, authorities said. Hundreds Take Part In Funeral For Wethersfield Firefighter Killed Battling Blaze
Mourners lined the roads leading to the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford on Monday, Oct. 28, to pay their respects to Robert "Sharkey" Sharkevich Sr. His casket was carried by a fire engine that was preceded by a cadre of police vehicles.
