A 6-year-old boy in Norristown brought his mother's handgun to school, and now she's facing criminal charges, claims District Attorney Kevin Steele.
Jasmin Devlin, 30, surrendered to police on Tuesday, Feb. 14 and was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Albert J. Augustine who set bail at $50,000 unsecured, the DA said.
According to authorities Devlin's young son took the pistol on the school bus on Thursday, Feb. 9, and began showing classmates. A group of children immediately alerted a secretary when the bus arrived at the school, they said.

Child, 3, Airlifted After Shooting Himself With Handgun In Suburban Philly Parking Lot
A 3-year-old child was airlifted to the hospital after accidentally shooting himself with a firearm in Suburban Philadelphia over the weekend, authorities said.
The toddler was struck once in the lower abdomen while in a black Dodge Durango, parked in the Caln Plaza shopping center around 11:45 a.m. Saturday, July 30, local police said.
