A Maryland man has admitted to a deadly shooting that ended with the victim’s car crashing into a townhouse, closing the book on a case that stunned a Montgomery County neighborhood last spring.
Demari Howard Brown, 21, of Montgomery Village, pleaded guilty Friday, March 13, to first-degree murder in the killing of 20-year-old Henry Krishawn Gilbert, prosecutors announced.
The fatal shooting happened on April 26, 2025, when Gilbert was found slumped behind the wheel of a green Honda Civic on Brookridge Court in Gaithersburg, investigators said.

A TD Bank in Forked River was robbed at gunpoint on Monday, March 9, authorities said.
At 2:30 p.m., a man entered the TD Bank at 106 N. Main St. and demanded money from a bank teller, Lacey police said. The man displayed what appeared to be a black handgun and an undetermined amount of cash was taken, police said.

At around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, March 2, deputies from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to the 200 block of Silverleaf Drive in Sterling to investigate a reported shooting.
