A 45-year-old Baltimore father was gunned down in an early-morning shooting in Anne Arundel County. Officers were called at around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, to the 1600 block of Annapolis Road in Odenton, where there were reports of a shooting, according to police. A Long Island man formally confessed to killing a friend during a late-night argument over a card game. Kane Moore, 32, of Hempstead, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and related charges in Nassau County Court Tuesday, Jan. 6, in connection with the 2024 shooting death of Maurice Thomas.
