Man Shot Dead In Northeast Philly Basement: Arrest Made Months Later, Police Say
A man was found shot to death on the basement floor of a home in Northeast Philadelphia, and now, months later, an arrest has been made, authorities announced.
Scott M. Schultz, 45, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the forehead on the 1300 block of Sellers Street at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, Philadelphia Police said on Monday, June 23, 2025.
He was pronounced dead by medics at 9:12 a.m. A .45 caliber shell casing was recovered at the scene.

A 22-year-old Elizabeth man was sentenced to 23 years in prison on Friday, June 6, after previously pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter, authorities said.
On Friday, June 23, 2023 at 9:39 p.m., Elizabeth police responded to Spring Street and Third Ave where they found David Guevara suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves, and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca said.

A 28-year-old Jersey City man is at large after being charged with the murder of an Elizabeth man earlier this month, authorities said.
On Saturday, May 3, at 4 p.m., Jersey City police responded to a crash at Old Bergen Road and Merritt Street, and found Devon Reid, 39, unresponsive in the driver's seat after his vehicle crashed into a tree, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
