A man who previously was reportedly "living in a bad place" and thought to be experiencing homelessness last winter was kindly taken in by a couple – whom he thanked by stabbing – now, he will have a home for several years in a state correctional institution, the Cumberland County District Attorney's office announced on Wednesday. A homeless man walking the streets of Washington DC has been arrested in connection to the burglaries of multiple churches in the District, authorities announced. Sequan Olney, 28, who has no known fixed address, has been apprehended after allegedly forcing his way into several churches, and destroying property before fleeing the area, police say. A man has been apprehended after police say he killed his grandmother at her Long Island home. A 911 call at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 reported a stabbing at the residence in Amityville on Watkins Terrace. Miraccia Leopold. Woman Found Dead On South Boston Beach ID'd By Police; Investigators Narrow Cause of Death
A woman whose body was found on Carson Beach in South Boston Monday morning, Oct. 16, has been identified as a 29-year-old woman. Megan Anderson, whose last permanent address was in Las Vegas, was found on the beach near Day Boulevard just before 7 a.m., Massachusetts State Police said. She may have been homeless. A preliminary examination showed no indication of trauma on her body, police said. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will release the cause of death.

Journalist Josh Kruger Knew His Suspected Killer, Philadelphia Police Say
Philadelphia police have obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect in the killing of journalist and activist Josh Kruger. A days-long river search for a missing man ended on Wednesday, Aug. 30, when police found his body. The body, believed to be a 60-year-old man, was found in the Neponset River in the Boston neighborhood of Hyde Park around 1:10 p.m., according to the Massachusetts State Police. A 32-year-old homeless man was arrested after police said he exposed himself in a public park in Hoboken on Friday, Aug. 25.
