Two firefighters were injured battling a house fire in West Milford on Saturday, Aug. 16, officials said.
West Milford fire crews responded to a reported structure fire on Otterhole Road just before 10 a.m., where responders were met by heavy fire and smoke on the front of the home, the fire department said.

The two people rescued from a burning Stewartstown Borough home Sunday morning died from gunshot wounds to the head before the blaze even started, new investigation details confirm.
Jennifer Troch, 41, and Michael Shores Jr., 54, both of the first block of North Main Street, were pronounced dead at WellSpan York Hospital on Sunday, Aug. 3—Shores Jr. at 7:12 a.m., Troch at 7:30 a.m., Coroner Pam Gay said in separate releases.
