Children Caught Speeding At 90 MPH In Stolen Cars In Western Mass
A group of 15-year-olds and 14-year-olds went are lucky to be alive after taking a joyride early Thursday morning, June 15, in stolen Hyundais at speeds over 90 miles per hour before crashing in Hampden County, authorities said. The four teens in four stolen cars were clocked around 3:45 a.m. speeding down Boston Road in Springfield, police said. The vehicles weaved across the yellow line multiple times, and two of the cars didn't have their headlights on, meaning they were practically invisible to oncoming traffic, authorities added. Pair Killed In Central Jersey Crash, Driver Charged: Prosecutor
An elderly pair from Maryland was killed in a crash Tuesday evening, June 13 in Highland Park, authorities said. A Mercedes driven by Abeer Viriani, 34, of Iselin, struck a Subaru occupied by Peter Palmer, 75, of Easton, MD, and Carol Paul, 77, of Easton, MD, around 5:30 p.m. at Route 27 and North 10 Street, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Firefighters made quick work in rescuing trapped people and one dog from a vehicle crash off of Route 287 in Somerset County Saturday, June 10. The crash occurred just after 6:30 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway in Bridgewater, near mile post 20.4, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said.
