A South Jersey military base will be used to house undocumented immigrants, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced earlier this week. In a letter to Rep. Herb Conaway, D-N.J., Hegseth said Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Burlington County will be used by the Department of Homeland Security to house undocumented immigrants. The fourth and final detainee who escaped from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in New Jersey last month was captured Thursday, July 17, in Los Angeles, more than 2,700 miles away, the FBI said.
