Woman Was High On Marijuana In Crash That Killed 2 On Jersey Shore: Prosecutor
A 30-year-old woman from Toms River has been indicted for vehicular homicide in the deaths of two men in a Jersey Shore crash, authorities said. Danielle Bowker also was charged with assault by auto in the fatal crash that occurred in Manchester Township on March 29, 2022, resulting in the deaths of Michael Sadis, 48, of Toms River, and Paul Lamberti, 58, also of Toms River, they said. Lab tests later determined that Bowker had been actively using marijuana near the time of the fatal crash, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. Marine Mammal Stranding Center Investigates 8th Dead Whale To Wash Up On Jersey Shore
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center was investigating the eighth whale to wash up on the Jersey Shore this year. A center spokeswoman said whale experts were in Manasquan on Tuesday, Feb. 14. A necropsy is typically carried out to determine the mammal's cause of death, and center officials assist in the whate's removal/burial. The dead whale was first spotted by Manasquan residents on Monday.

Alligator In Plastic Container Dumped At Jersey Shore
A young alligator in a plastic container was found abandoned in an empty lot at the Jersey Shore, authorities said. A resident of Bangs Avenue in Neptune made the heartbreaking discovery and called the Monmouth County SPCA Sunday, Jan. 15, the organization said. The young alligator was brought back to the shelter and given a clean tank that allowed proper air circulation and is being kept in a climate-controlled area. The family of a popular Monmouth County crabber who died after falling through a dilapidated dock is reportedly receiving a $2.75 million settlement. A 50-year-old Jersey Shore man was charged with multiple drug and weapons offenses after a police raid on his home, authorities said. On Monday, Nov. 28, just after 6 a.m., the Brick Township Police Department made a warranted search on a residence in the Maple Leaf Condominium Complex.
