A precious, pink, 13.15-carat diamond from Qatar was among the $90 million worth of jewelry that a New Jersey relationship psychic convinced a client to swipe in his quest for love, court papers say.
John Lee, who has a mailing address on Route 17 in Paramus, met his alleged victim on a website called Purple Garden, where he posed as a "love expert" under the username 1111Giovanni1111, federal prosecutors said in court papers filed in Florida.

Man Stole $40K In Jewelry, Electronics From Walmart Stores In Suffolk County, Police Say
A 34-year-old man is facing grand larceny charges after police said he stole more than $40,000 worth of jewelry and electronics from Walmart stores on Long Island.
Jonathan Sunderland, of Hempstead, is accused of using a specialized tool to open locked display cases at the stores, the Suffolk County Police Department reported.
He was identified by investigators and arrested at about 12:10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, at the Morris County Jail in New Jersey, where he was being held on similar charges from the Boonton Township Police Department, police said.

Housekeeper Stole $25K Worth Of Jewelry From Greenburgh Home, Pawn Shops, Police Say
A housekeeper is charged with stealing multiple pieces of jewelry from Westchester County residences and pawn shops, police said.
In June 2022, police in Greenburgh started investigating the theft of jewelry worth over $25,000 from a residence in the town, Greenburgh police said.
On Tuesday, Nov. 8, police arrested 42-year-old Azra Zecirovic of New Rochelle and charged her with the theft, saying that she was employed by the cleaning company that provided service to the home where the jewelry was stolen from, according to police.
