A juvenile was arrested and charged after he stole a BMW on Christmas Day last year in Chatham, authorities announced Monday, March 30.
Officers responded to a residence to a residence after the juvenile broke into a home and stole the keys to a BMW X7 before taking the vehicle from the driveway, Chatham Borough police said. The vehicle was recovered the next day in Newark, police said.

Two Glenolden women are accused of following and assaulting a juvenile and an adult female after school dismissal in Sharon Hill, police announced on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
The incident began on Wednesday, Nov. 5, when the victims were followed from Academy Park High School by 34-year-old Lashay Simpson-Sheppard, 18-year-old Dashay Sheppard, and their juvenile daughter, according to the Sharon Hill Borough Police Department.

Officers responded to the Dunkin' at 170 Mountain Avenue around 3:29 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, for a report of two juveniles fighting, according to Hackettstown Police.

Guardian To Blame For Teen Having 2 Handguns, Watervliet Police Say
A 16-year-old boy and his guardian are facing charges following the recovery of two handguns in upstate New York.
Kierra Allen, 37, of Watervliet, was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 10, after police said she failed to adequately supervise the teen, who was allegedly found in possession of two handguns.
The boy was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. Allen is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
According to investigators, the teen has a criminal history including a 2023 charge for possession and unlawful discharge of a flare gun.
