A 58-year-old man was arrested and charged after he shot himself with a stolen handgun on Sunday, Feb. 23 and lied about it to police, authorities said. At 2:40 a.m., Manchester Township police responded to a residence in Whiting and found Richard Rokicki with a gunshot wound, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
