A 31-year-old man was stabbed during a violent fight in Uniondale Park, Nassau County police announced on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Ronaldo Tomlinson, 23, who is homeless, approached the victim at 710 Uniondale Avenue around 12:45 p.m. when a dispute began, detectives explained. The argument escalated, and Tomlinson allegedly punched the man in the face before pulling out a boxcutter, investigators said.

Driver, 28, Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Pole In Greenlawn
A man suffered serious injuries after crashing into a utility pole in Greenlawn, police announced on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Christian Western, 28, of Huntington, was driving a 2004 Honda Accord northbound when he veered off the roadway and struck the pole in front of 315 Broadway at 3:45 p.m., according to the Suffolk County Police Second Squad.
He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The Honda was impounded for a safety check, police added.
Detectives are investigating the crash and ask anyone with information to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
Man Shot During Robbery Attempt While Sitting In Car In Selden, Police Say
A robbery turned violent when a man was shot in the leg during a holdup in Selden, Suffolk County Police announced on Tuesday, July 15.
A 21-year-old man was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked car on Comet Road around 10:40 p.m. on Monday, July 7, when a suspect opened the driver’s side door, pointed a gun at him, and demanded his property, according to police.
As the victim began to exit the vehicle, he was shot in the left leg. A struggle ensued before the gunman fled the scene. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, investigators said.

Milford Suspect Turns Himself In After Stabbing Elderly Man, Police Say
A 24-year-old Connecticut man turned himself in to police after allegedly stabbing someone during a confrontation, authorities said.
Adonis Jenkins was charged with first-degree assault, assault of an elderly person, and breach of peace in connection with the Salem Walk stabbing, Milford police said.
Officers were called to 41 Salem Walk in Milford on Friday, March 28, where they found a man suffering from a stab wound to the upper abdomen, police said. The victim's injuries were non-life-threatening, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he remained as of Saturday afternoon.
