Wyckoff police reported a series of arrests and investigations involving shoplifting, drunken driving, and vehicle-related incidents in a department blotter released Friday, Dec. 12, which dates back to early fall (see attached).
On Thursday, Dec. 4, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Monroe Avenue, police said. A New Jersey woman was arrested after fleeing police and being tracked down hours later at a New Jersey motel, authorities said.
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, Officer Gregory Bulick was on patrol in Saddle River when a white SUV sped past him while driving recklessly, the department said in a press release.
Bulick attempted a traffic stop, but police said the driver, later identified as Kaitlyn Slicker-Abulteen, of Warwick, NY, accelerated even more after he activated his emergency lights and sirens. For safety reasons, Bulick ended the pursuit and issued a BOLO to nearby departments.

Daniel Santos, 49, and Natalie Sarkissian, 34, were arrested Thursday, Sept. 4, after investigators linked Santos to a theft that followed a car crash on Orange Avenue in Suffern on Aug. 26, according to Mahwah Police Capt. Michael Blondin.

Unresponsive Man Found Floating In Mahwah Pool, 68
A 68-year-old Mahwah man was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive in a backyard pool, authorities said.
At approximately 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, Mahwah police responded to a Bedford Road residence for a report of a possible drowning, Capt. Michael Blondin said.
The man, a resident of the home, was found floating in the pool by a family member, Blondin said. Responding officers entered the pool, removed the victim, and immediately began CPR.

Former Bergen County mom Jill Marie Reinauer died Tuesday, Aug. 19. She was 42 years old.
Born in Ridgewood and formerly of Franklin Lakes, Jill moved to Staten Island 15 years ago and worked in the family’s marine business, Reinauer Transportation, her obituary on the Vander Plaat Funeral Home website reads.
