Man Dies By Suicide In Carneys Point Traffic Stop, Penns Grove Mayor Says The mayor of a South Jersey town is urging residents to look out for one another after a Thanksgiving traffic stop ended in tragedy. Penns Grove Mayor La’Daena Londo said Carneys Point officers stopped a vehicle outside a Wawa on Thursday, Nov. 27. When officers approached, the driver stepped out of the car and “in that moment, he took his own life,” the mayor said.
