Joey Nelson died at the age of 18 in January, 2022, leaving behind his parents, three siblings, and a bereft circle of friends, according to his obituary.
Methuen-born Nelson was a creative soul with a love for self expression, who enjoyed long walks, music, gaming, and spending time with friends and family, according to his obituary. He grew up and went to school in Newburyport.

Children, First Responders Among 11 Hospitalized Due To Lawrence Gas Leak
Multiple people, including two children and two first responders, were hospitalized due to a gas leak in Lawrence, reports and officials said.
Firefighters responded to a building at 157 Lawrence Street on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 15, the Lawrence Fire Department confirmed to Daily Voice.
Seven people from the building's first-floor restaurant, "Pollo Ciba," had to be evaluated, as well as four people from the building's third-floor residential area, because of a carbon monoxide leak, reported WHDH.
