Man Charged With April Murder Of D.C. Grandmother
The suspect behind a murder that killed a D.C. grandmother has been arrested, authorities say.
Morris Jones, 37, was charged for the April killing of Tiffany Wiggins, 38, on Tuesday, June 7, according to Metropolitan Police.
Wiggins was found shot to death in a vehicle on the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue shortly after 11 a.m., Sunday, April 17.

Three men from Washington DC will be spending some serious time behind bars for their involvement in the shooting death of an 11-year-old boy, WUSA9 reports.
Carlo General, 21, Christian Wingfield, 24, and Marcel Gordon, 26, were sentenced to a combined 35.5 years in prison for the shooting death of Davon McNeal, the outlet reports.
The 11-year-old was shot and killed by a stray bullet while heading to a community anti-violence cookout in the 1400 block of Cedar Street, Southeast on July 4, 2020, the outlet and Metropolitan Police report.

20-Year-Old DC Man Dies After Walking Into Hospital With Gunshot Wound: Police
A 20-year-old man shot in Northwest Washington DC died moments after walking into a hospital, authorities said.
Jahmeze Williams, of Southeast, DC, was said to be shot in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest, around 10 p.m on Tuesday, May 24, Metropolitan Police said.
When officers arrived at the scene, no victims were located. Instead they learned that Williams had checked himself into a hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. He died shorty after, according to police.

Special Police Officer From Maryland Fatally Shot In DC
A Special Police Officer from Prince George's County was fatally shot in Washington DC over the weekend, authorities said.
Shawn Minor, 33, of Forestville, was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the 2500 block of Elvans Road, Southeast around 12:23 a.m. on Sunday, May 22, Metropolitan Police said.
Minor was on-duty and in uniform up until his death, police said. Minor was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for evaluation.
