A Massachusetts man was apprehended in Virginia in connection to an aggravated sexual assault and home invasion that happened over a month ago, authorities said.
Washington Pearson, age 55, of Boston, was arrested by members of the United States Marshals Service in Norfolk, VA on Tuesday, Nov. 29, Boston Police report.
Pearson was wanted for an incident that happened on the Arborway in Jamaica Plain on Friday, Oct. 24, police said. He had a warrant issued from West Roxbury District Court on several charges including attempted murder, assault, rape, and breaking and entering.

It took more than a decade, but a serial rapist in Virginia has been arrested for the sexual assaults of teenage girls back in 2008, authorities announced.
William Phelps IV, 33, was arrested and faces multiple charges following a 14-year investigation into multiple rapes in Norfolk, according to police investigators on Monday, Oct. 17.
Specifically, Phelps was charged with:
Rape;
Three counts of forcible sodomy;
Two counts of aggravated sexual battery;
Two counts of abduction;
Use of a firearm;

Storm System With 'Three-Prong Effect' Tracks Along East Coast
The East Coast is off to a wet and rainy October.
A new storm system caused in part by Hurricane Ian continues to track along the East Coast, making for coastal flooding and even more rain, meteorologists say.
The storm will have a "three-prong effect" including wind, enhanced rain, and flooding, AccuWeather says. Coastal and bayside communities such as Wildwood, NJ and Norfolk, VA could see between one and three feet of flooding, the outlet reports.

Three Teens Nabbed For Armed Robbery Of Victim in Virginia Beach
Three teens, two from Norfolk, were arrested for an armed robbery in Virginia Beach, officials said.On August 27, at around 2:30 p.m., a woman was robbed and assaulted by three teens in the 4300 block of Holland Road, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
After a short vehicle and foot chase, the suspects who stole the victim's property were identified as 18-year-old Taquan Robinson, Tavern Calhoun, 18, and an unknown 17-year-old, officials reported.
