An argument between two friends erupted into violence, leaving one hospitalized after a stabbing in North Amityville on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 6:25 a.m., Suffolk County Police announced.
Joshua Deluna, 32, of North Amityville, got into an altercation with a 43-year-old Copiague man in front of a home, police said.
During the fight, Deluna allegedly stabbed the man multiple times. The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment, according to police. His current condition has not been disclosed.

Pedestrian Killed In Amityville Crash: Police
A pedestrian was fatally struck by an SUV in North Amityville early Saturday morning, March 15, according to Suffolk County police.
Richard Moffatt, 30, of Amityville, was driving a 2021 Mazda SUV southbound in the left lane of Broadway near Francine Avenue when he hit the pedestrian at 12:13 a.m., authorities said.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moffatt was not injured in the crash, and his vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.

Philip Walker, 58, of Mastic, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the death of Jimmy Vaughn.
Walker and Vaughn, 63, were both living in a group home at the Shirley Motel on Montauk Highway when emergency crews were called to the motel for a stabbing on June 30, 2023.

Three men have been charged with murder after a victim was found dead on the side of a Long Island roadway.
Suffolk County Police First Precinct officers in East Farmingdale responded to Garity Place after a passerby called 911 to report a man on the side of the road at approximately 1:35 a.m. Saturday, June 22.
The man, Juan Carlos Diaz Geronimo, age 48, of North Amityville, was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Farmingdale Fire Department.

Police are investigating a Long Island drive-by shooting that has left one person seriously injured.
The shooting happened on Saturday, Aug. 19 in North Amityville, according to Suffolk County Police.

A Long Island man faces multiple animal cruelty charges when his dog died after allegedly being left in a car on a hot day, authorities announced.
On Monday, Aug. 7, the Suffolk County SPCA announced the charges against Raymond Gonzalez, a 60-year-old North Amityville resident, for his alleged role in the death of Koko, his one-and-a-half-year-old dog.
According to Suffolk County SPCA Chief Roy Gross, Gonzalez left the German shepherd-husky mix alone inside a car on a hot day.

A 21-year-old robbery suspect shot at two police officers who then returned fire, injuring the gunman, during a shootout on Long Island, authorities said.
The incident happened at around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, in North Amityville, according to Suffolk County Police.
