Photos: Three Dozen Firefighters Battle Blaze At Norwalk Home
More than 35 firefighters responded to a Norwalk house fire that left one person without a home.
The fire began around 8:45 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at a home on Ravenwood Road, said Norwalk Fire Deputy Chief Todd Smith.
When Norwalk firefighters arrived on the scene they found a raised, ranch house with fire billowing through the roof, the front door, and from the right side of the house, Smith said.
In addition to the roof burning over the bedrooms the fire was extending up into the hallway and into the bedrooms, he said.

Lawnmower Fire Extends To Norwalk Home, Causing Extensive Damage
A lawnmower fire in the garage of a Norwalk home, traveled to the house, causing extensive damage.
The Norwalk Fire Department responded to the fire around 3:46 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 4 Bayberry Lane, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Edward Prescott.
When firefighters arrived, the two-car garage below the ranch-style house was fully involved in fire and extending up the side of the home, Prescott said.
