Know Him? Man Wanted For Robbing Branch Of Fairfield County Bank
Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed an area bank.
The bank robbery took place around 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at the Fairfield County Bank at 121 New Canaan Ave., in Norwalk.
According to Sgt. Sofia Gulino of the Norwalk Police, the man, wearing blue latex gloves, a hard hat, sunglasses, and a mask resembling a tiger’s mouth, passed the teller a note demanding cash and that he was armed.
The suspect did not display a weapon but manipulated his backpack to make it seem like he was armed, Gulino said.

An acrobat who fell about 30 feet from a performance apparatus at a Fairfield County festival is expected to recover.
The incident took place around 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 12, at the Norwalk Oyster Festival Saturday when one of the performers, Walter Murcia, with the Pirates Of the Colombian Caribbean acrobatic show fell about 25 to 30 feet from an apparatus.

Woman Accused Of Throwing Dog Out Of Car Window In Fairfield County, Police Say
A woman has been arrested for allegedly throwing her dog out a car window as the vehicle was moving in Fairfield County.
Helen Skulski, age 56, of Wilton, turned herself in to Norwalk Police on Friday, March 26 after a warrant was issued for her arrest, said Norwalk Police Sgt Sofia Gulino.
According to Gulino, on Tuesday, March 9, at approximately 2:07 p.m., Norwalk Police received a phone call from a motorist who said she saw a dog being tossed out of a moving vehicle.

A 78-year-old Fairfield County man who had been missing has been found safe, police said.
Jose Costa, of Norwalk, was last seen around 3 a.m., Friday, Jan. 22, leaving in his vehicle from his home on Winnipauk Drive, said Norwalk Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino.
Friday afternoon, Norwalk Police said Costa had been found safe.

21-Year-Old Nabbed For String Of Commercial Fairfield County Burglaries, Police Say
A man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into at least eight local businesses in Fairfield County, smashing windows, and stealing cash.
Chance Perrone, age 21, of New Canaan, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 5, by Norwalk Police for a string of commercial burglaries.
The crimes date back to October 2020 and include burglaries of at least nine businesses, New Canaan PD Sgt. Sofia Gulino said.
During the burglaries, Perrone stole strange things such as bread, cardboard, as well as hundreds of dollars from the businesses.

Four people, including three juveniles, were arrested following a wild shooting of some 37 shots at an area apartment complex, a police pursuit, and finally a crash in a stolen vehicle in Fairfield County.
The incident took place around 1:03 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, when Bridgeport Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert at the Charles F. Greene Homes Apartment Complex at Highland Avenue, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport Emergency Management.

A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly attacking his boss with a shovel.
Milian Lemus-Perez, 27, of Norwalk, was arrested around 4:45 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, when officers responded to Chestnut Hill Road for a fight, said Norwalk Police Lt. Jared Zwickler.
Officers arrived on the scene and found a man with significant facial injuries from being struck with a shovel, Zwickler said.
