East Orange Woman Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Orange: Prosecutor A 76-year-old East Orange woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Orange on Wednesday, April 2, authorities said. Lois Scott was crossing northbound over Main Street, when a Jeep Wrangler traveling northbound on South Jefferson Street turning left onto Main Street stuck her in the crosswalk, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. Scott was transported to University Hospital and was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m., authorities said. The driver remained on scene, authorities said.
