A 9 p.m., Newark police responded to Raymond Boulevard by ramp/entrance to the bridge, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. The pedestrian was struck in the travel lanes of the roadway, despite a pedestrian sidewalk directly adjacent to the regular lanes of travel, authorities said. Vehicle Hits Victim, Drives Away In Yonkers Authorities are searching for a driver who hit a victim in Westchester and drove off, causing injuries.  The crash happened on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at around 3 p.m., when a light gray SUV hit a person walking in the area of Riverdale Avenue and Pier Street in Yonkers, according to Yonkers Police Sgt. Sampada Aduulla, of Lake Grove, was struck by an eastbound vehicle near Hallock Road at 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, police said. The driver fled the scene. Aduulla was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police.
