Burglar Smashes Way Into Capital Region Stewart's Shops, Police Say It didn’t take long for police to track down an accused burglar who allegedly smashed his way into a convenience store in the region. Officers in Saratoga Springs responded to the Stewart’s Shops near Broadway and Circular Street after an alarm was triggered at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 28. The store’s front window had been shattered and there was evidence that someone had gone inside, police said. Joel Jungries, age 42, of New York City, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 23 in connection with the burglaries that took place over two weekends earlier this month in Monsey. According to Lt.
