Investigation Underway After Burglary At Route 1 Gas Station
Police are investigating following the burglary of a Fairfield County gas station. The incident took place around 1:53 a.m., Sunday, July 12, at the Exxon Gas Station in Darien, said Darien Police Sgt. James Palmieri. According to Palmieri, officers responded to the station, located at 1358 Post Road, after receiving a report of a burglar alarm indication. A Fairfield County man was allegedly drunk when he rear-ended another driver on a busy road in Darien, police said. A 26-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant for a stop last year in which police allegedly found drugs in her vehicle. Nicole Greenwald, of Norwalk, was arrested on Wednesday, May 20, for an incident which took place in Fairfield County in Sept. 2019, said Darien Police Dept. Sgt. James Palmieri.
