1,700 Lose Power In Bergen County Amid Dangerous NJ Heat
New Jersey is sweltering under dangerously high heat and humidity, with feels-like temperatures hitting 106° in multiple cities on Wednesday, June 25, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.
Trenton, Vineland, Allentown, Philadelphia, and Wilmington all reached peak heat indices of 106°, while Easton, PA, topped out at 107°, weather officials said. Long Branch and Sussex hit 100°, and Toms River wasn’t far behind at 103°.

Thousands in the region remain without power in the DMV following the latest round of thunderstorms that rocked the area.
As of 10:45 a.m. on Friday, June 20, Baltimore Gas and Electric crews are still working to repair 524 active outages that continued to impact 9,913 of the company's 1.34 million customers.
Anne Arundel (6,255 customers) was hit the hardest, followed by Prince George's (2,485), Baltimore (332), and Harford (242) counties.

Several people were hurt and power outages were reported after a crash involving a bus and two cars brought down a utility pole in a Rockland County neighborhood.
The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. Friday, June 6, at the intersection of Hilltop Place and Highview Road in Monsey, according to The Monsey Scoop and Ramapo Police.

A tractor-trailer crash early Friday, May 30 in Ridgefield sent two people to the hospital, knocked out power, and left part of the borough shut down for hours, officials said.
The crash happened around 2:50 a.m., at Broad Avenue and Maple Avenue, according to both Ridgefield Mayor Hugo Jimenez and the Ridgefield Fire Department.
