Ricardo Vilorio-Hernandez, 56, of Tampa, was sentenced to 40 to 80 years in prison on Tuesday, Feb. 18, by Lancaster County Judge Thomas Sponaugle, who called his crimes “horrible” and said he “deserves a long sentence.” The judge also classified him as a sexually violent predator.

Mynor Romeo Alvarado-Canahui, 36, of Norwalk, pleaded guilty to attempted murder, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault, and attempted first-degree sexual assault in connection to the May 2020 attack that left the victim with a fractured skull, broken vertebrae, and permanent hearing loss, state prosecutors said.
