Paterson PD Street Sweep: Hookers, Johns, Buyers, Sellers, Pounds Of Drugs
PATERSON, N.J. – A series of strikes by Paterson police over a nine-day stretch produced dozens of arrests – including 22 accused hookers and 11 alleged johns – along with the seizures of nearly 5 pounds of pot, more than a pound of heroin and crack combined and various other drugs.
Nearly all of the heroin was packaged for sale, as was some of the crack, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.
Detectives and uniformed officers rounded up dealers as well as buyers while confiscating nearly $13,000 in proceeds, Speziale said.

PATERSON, N.J. -- Paterson police said they seized more than a half-pound of pot, a loaded handgun, a high capacity magazine and hollow-point bullets -- as well as $1,083 in drug proceeds and a stolen motorcycle -- while busting an accused dealer.
Robert Samboy Jr., 23, was charged with several drug and weapons counts after police said he sold drugs from his second-floor Garrison Street apartment.
The Glock 17 was loaded with 15 rounds and the motorcycle was reported stolen out of Prospect Park, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Teamwork: Police From Prospect Park, Haledon Seize Cocaine, Pot In Raid
PROSPECT PARK, N.J. -- Prospect Park police united with their Haledon colleagues to seize an ounce of raw cocaine, along with pot and various drug-dealing materials while arresting a borough man, authorities said.
A week after receiving a tip, detectives obtained a search warrant, raided a residence and arrested Richard Dennis, 28, Detective Walter Richmond said.
Along with the drugs, he said, investigators found mixing/cutting agents, strainers, digital scales and packaging materials in Dennis’s home.
