Man Killed In Deadly Newark Shooting: Prosecutor A 29-year-old man was shot and killed in Newark on Wednesday, Feb. 4, authorities said. At 7 p.m., officers on Bergen Street were approached by an unidentified woman who reported a man had been shot, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said.
