A person was shot after gunfire tore through a home on East Washington Street in Chambersburg, police announced on Sunday, March 2.
Officers responded to the 200 block of E. Washington St., Chambersburg, PA, at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, for reports of a shooting, according to the Chambersburg Police Department.
When police arrived, they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance for medical treatment, authorities said.

Dwight Hawkins, 37, of Baltimore, died after being struck by gunfire around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the 3600 block of Belair Road, according to the Maryland Attorney General’s Office.
Investigators say officers were already inside the business when they noticed Hawkins acting suspiciously. He exited the store, began running, and ignored multiple commands to stop.
